Responsibilities
- Assist journeyman electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems.
- Learn to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.
- Prepare work areas by gathering necessary tools, materials, and equipment.
- Ensure all work adheres to local, state, and national electrical codes and safety regulations.
- Perform routine inspections and testing of electrical components to ensure functionality.
- Keep work sites clean, organized, and free of hazards at all times.
- Communicate effectively with team members and customers regarding project progress.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is preferred, but not mandatory.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are required.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, and lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) regularly.
- Basic math skills for measuring and calculating materials.
- Strong willingness to learn and a positive attitude toward safety training.
- Reliable transportation to and from the job site.
