Responsibilities
- Install and maintain electrical wiring, fixtures, and control equipment according to local and national codes.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to understand project requirements.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on residential and commercial electrical systems.
- Ensure all work sites are clean, safe, and organized at the end of each shift.
- Assist senior electricians with complex installations, such as lighting, wiring, and panel upgrades.
- Test electrical systems to ensure they function correctly and safely.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred; trade school background is a plus but not mandatory.
- Willingness to learn and obtain required journeyman licenses.
- Physical ability to lift heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs) and work in various weather conditions.
- Basic math and reading comprehension skills for blueprint interpretation.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record (required for travel to job sites).
- Must be reliable, punctual, and possess a strong safety mindset.
