Responsibilities
- Assist Journeyman Electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in residential and commercial settings.
- Learn to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including testing circuits, replacing outlets, and installing lighting fixtures.
- Ensure all work complies with local and national electrical codes (NEC) and safety regulations.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure project milestones are met.
- Handle and transport electrical materials and tools safely.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in various weather conditions.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
- Strong desire to learn the electrical trade and a positive attitude.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
