Responsibilities
- Assist senior electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of residential and commercial electrical systems.
- Prepare job sites by organizing materials, laying out cables, and ensuring a clean workspace.
- Operate a variety of hand and power tools, including drills, saws, and wire strippers.
- Read and interpret basic blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams under supervision.
- Maintain strict adherence to all local, state, and national electrical codes (NEC).
- Ensure all work areas are safe and compliant with OSHA safety regulations.
- Perform routine inspections to identify potential hazards or inefficiencies.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.
- High school diploma or GED preferred (but not mandatory).
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions.
- Strong desire to learn and willingness to participate in formal apprenticeship training.
- Basic math skills and attention to detail.
