Responsibilities
- Installation & Maintenance: Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, fixtures, and equipment in commercial and industrial settings.
- Blueprints: Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine the layout of wiring and equipment.
- Compliance: Ensure all work complies with local, state, and national electrical codes and safety regulations.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose electrical problems and implement effective solutions with minimal downtime.
- Inspections: Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to identify potential hazards or inefficiencies.
- Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other tradespeople to ensure project timelines are met.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Valid Journeyman or Master Electrician license in the State of Illinois.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in commercial and industrial electrical work.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) and electrical theory.
- Tools: Proficiency in using a wide range of electrical tools and testing equipment.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift heavy materials, stand for extended periods, and work in various environments (climbing ladders, crawl spaces, etc.).
