Responsibilities
- Installation & Maintenance: Perform the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, fixtures, and wiring in compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local Virginia regulations.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex electrical issues to ensure operational efficiency and minimize downtime for clients.
- Blueprint Reading: Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to plan and execute electrical projects accurately.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety standards and company protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all personnel.
- Client Communication: Interact professionally with clients to explain technical issues and provide solutions, ensuring high customer satisfaction.
- Tool Management: Maintain and inspect electrical tools and equipment to ensure they are in optimal working condition.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Valid Journeyman or Master Electrician license issued by the State of Virginia.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in commercial or residential electrical work.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in reading electrical blueprints, using multimeters, and troubleshooting circuitry.
- Education: High school diploma or GED; technical trade school certification preferred.
- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), work in confined spaces, and stand for extended periods.
