Responsibilities
- Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, devices, and wiring.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and schematics to understand wiring layouts.
- Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair.
- Ensure all work complies with local, state, and national electrical codes and regulations.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical malfunctions to ensure system functionality.
- Utilize hand and power tools appropriate for the task, including conduit benders, multimeters, and wire strippers.
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients to explain technical issues and solutions.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- License: A valid driver's license is preferred. Journeyman license is a plus but not required for this entry-level position.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), work in confined spaces, and stand for extended periods.
- Skills: Basic understanding of mathematics is helpful; willingness to learn is mandatory.
- Attitude: Strong work ethic, reliability, and a commitment to safety.
