Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and control systems in residential and commercial buildings.
- Read blueprints and technical diagrams to determine the layout of wiring and electrical components.
- Perform routine maintenance inspections to ensure electrical systems are functioning safely and efficiently.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical problems, identifying the root cause and implementing effective solutions.
- Ensure all work complies with local, state, and national electrical codes (NEC).
- Work collaboratively with project managers and other tradespeople to ensure project deadlines are met.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining work and educating clients on electrical safety.
Qualifications
- Valid Journeyman Electrician License in the state of Minnesota.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in residential and commercial electrical work.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, circuit breakers, and transformers.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Physical ability to lift heavy equipment, climb ladders, and work in various weather conditions.
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
