Job Overview:
As a Night Shift Electrician, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and installation of electrical systems. You will play a crucial role in our reliability program, performing preventative maintenance and troubleshooting to prevent costly downtime for our clients.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on complex electrical systems, transformers, and generators.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to plan installations and repairs.
- Install, repair, and replace electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment while strictly adhering to the National Electrical Code (NEC).
- Ensure all work sites are clean, organized, and compliant with OSHA safety standards.
- Document all work orders, time logs, and materials used accurately.
- Respond to emergency calls and service requests during night hours with a professional demeanor.
- Collaborate with the day shift team to ensure seamless project continuity and handovers.
Qualifications
- Valid Journeyman Electrician License in the State of Texas (required).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in commercial or industrial electrical work.
- Proven ability and willingness to work rotating Night Shifts (6 PM - 6 AM).
- Strong knowledge of electrical theory, power distribution, and safety protocols.
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and work in various weather conditions.
- Current OSHA 10 or 30 Hour Construction Safety Certification is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
