Responsibilities
- Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial electrical systems and equipment.
- Read and interpret complex blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Ensure all work strictly adheres to the National Electrical Code (NEC) and OSHA safety standards.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults in machinery, control panels, and power distribution systems.
- Conduct routine preventative maintenance to minimize operational downtime.
- Document all repairs and maintenance activities accurately in digital logs.
- Collaborate with maintenance managers and other trades to resolve facility issues.
Qualifications
- Valid Journeyman Electrician License in the state of Illinois.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in commercial or industrial electrical work.
- Proficiency in reading electrical schematics and working with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC).
- Strong working knowledge of lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures and electrical safety protocols.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently during night shift hours.
- Must pass a background check and drug screen.
