Responsibilities
- Assist senior electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in residential and commercial settings.
- Perform routine inspections of electrical panels, outlets, and wiring to ensure compliance with safety codes.
- Prepare work areas by gathering necessary tools and materials before starting tasks.
- Communicate effectively with customers to explain technical issues in simple terms and provide updates on job progress.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including proper disposal of waste materials.
- Follow all company safety protocols and OSHA regulations to ensure a hazard-free environment.
- Handle basic wiring tasks under supervision, such as replacing outlets, switches, and ceiling fans.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED preferred; equivalent experience is accepted.
- License: No specific license required for entry-level, but willingness to obtain a Florida Electrical Contractor license upon completion of training is a plus.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions.
- Skills: Basic math skills for measurements and a general understanding of tools.
- Attitude: Strong work ethic, punctuality, and a positive attitude toward learning.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
- Availability: Must be available for part-time shifts, including weekends and evenings as needed.
