Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures using appropriate hand and power tools.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics to determine layout of electrical system.
- Ensure all work complies with local, state, and national electrical codes and safety regulations.
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex electrical issues efficiently and effectively.
- Collaborate with other construction and maintenance professionals to ensure project requirements are met.
Qualifications
- Certified Journeyman Electrician license required.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in commercial and residential electrical work.
- Proficiency in reading and understanding electrical blueprints and schematics.
- Strong knowledge of NEC (National Electrical Code) and local building codes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
