Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance for residential and commercial clients.
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to plan electrical layouts.
- Ensure all work complies with local Washington D.C. electrical codes and safety regulations.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex electrical systems and equipment malfunctions.
- Install and maintain lighting systems, wiring, circuit breakers, and transformers.
- Conduct thorough inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure operational efficiency.
- Maintain a clean and organized work site, adhering to all company and OSHA safety standards.
Qualifications
- License: Valid Journeyman Electrician License issued by the District of Columbia.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in electrical work.
- Skills: Proficiency with hand and power tools, knowledge of NEC (National Electrical Code).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client interactions.
- Driver's License: Valid, clean driver's license required for travel to job sites.
- Physical: Ability to lift heavy objects, work in confined spaces, and stand for extended periods.
- Documents: Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
