Responsibilities
- Assist carpenters, masons, and other tradespeople with material handling and site preparation
- Operate basic hand tools and equipment under supervision (e.g., shovels, wheelbarrows, saws)
- Follow strict safety protocols and maintain clean, organized work areas
- Load/unload construction materials and stage them at job sites
- Perform demolition, excavation, and debris removal as directed
- Read basic blueprints and follow written instructions from supervisors
- Participate in daily team briefings and contribute to project goals
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Basic understanding of construction safety standards
- Strong work ethic and punctuality
- Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively in a team
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
