Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradesmen with daily construction tasks including material handling, site preparation, and cleanup
- Operate basic hand tools and equipment under supervision (shovels, wheelbarrows, saws, etc.)
- Maintain a clean and organized job site following OSHA safety protocols
- Load/unload construction materials and equipment safely
- Follow detailed instructions from project supervisors
- Perform physical tasks such as digging, lifting, and moving materials
- Assist in setting up temporary structures and scaffolding
Qualifications
- No prior experience required – we provide comprehensive on-the-job training
- Must be physically capable of lifting 50+ pounds and working in various weather conditions
- Valid driver's license preferred but not mandatory
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED accepted)
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screen
- Reliable transportation to job sites across Columbus
- Basic understanding of written and verbal English instructions
- Commitment to workplace safety and teamwork
