Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradespeople with site preparation, material handling, and cleanup tasks
- Operate basic hand tools (hammers, shovels, saws) and light equipment under supervision
- Load/unload construction materials and maintain organized job sites
- Follow strict safety protocols including PPE usage and hazard identification
- Read simple blueprints and verbal instructions to execute tasks accurately
- Participate in general construction activities (framing, concrete finishing, demolition)
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily project milestones
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED accepted)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Willingness to work in varying weather conditions (heat, rain, dust)
- Basic math skills for material measurements and inventory
