Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradespeople with construction tasks including material handling, site preparation, and cleanup
- Operate hand tools and power equipment safely under supervision
- Load/unload construction materials and transport them to designated areas
- Maintain clean and organized job sites following OSHA safety standards
- Read and interpret basic construction plans and instructions
- Participate in building structures, installing fixtures, and finishing tasks
- Report equipment issues or safety hazards to site supervisors immediately
Qualifications
- No prior construction experience required – comprehensive training provided
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks
- Valid driver's license preferred but not required
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED accepted)
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Strong work ethic and punctuality
- Basic math skills for measuring and material calculations
- Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively in a team
