Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and moving materials.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials, tools, and equipment to and from the job site.
- Equipment Support: Operate basic construction equipment and hand tools under supervision to assist skilled tradespeople.
- Site Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by sweeping, removing trash, and following safety protocols.
- Assistance: Support carpenters, electricians, and other trades by performing manual labor tasks as directed.
- Measurements: Help with basic measurements and layout tasks to ensure project accuracy.
Qualifications
- Entry Level Status: No prior construction experience required; on-the-job training provided.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physical labor for long periods, including lifting up to 50 lbs and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, dependable, and able to work full-time hours.
- Communication: Good verbal communication skills and the ability to follow instructions from supervisors.
- Legal Requirements: Must be at least 18 years old and possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Teamwork: Willingness to collaborate with a team and contribute to a positive work atmosphere.
