Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradesmen with construction tasks including digging, lifting materials, and site preparation
- Operate basic hand tools and equipment under supervision (shovels, hammers, saws)
- Maintain clean and organized job sites by debris removal and equipment maintenance
- Follow strict safety protocols and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Load/unload construction materials and transport them to designated areas
- Read and interpret basic construction plans and instructions
- Support various construction phases including framing, concrete work, and finishing
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and stand for extended periods
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Willingness to work in outdoor environments and adverse weather conditions
- Basic understanding of construction safety standards
- Strong work ethic and punctuality
- Ability to follow verbal instructions precisely
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
