Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradespeople with construction tasks including material handling, site preparation, and cleanup
- Load/unload construction materials and equipment safely using proper lifting techniques
- Operate basic hand tools (hammers, shovels, levels) and light machinery under supervision
- Maintain job site safety by following OSHA guidelines and wearing required PPE
- Support concrete work, framing, demolition, and finishing tasks as assigned
- Transport materials to designated areas using carts, dollies, or wheelbarrows
- Perform site cleanup duties including debris removal and waste management
- Adhere to project timelines and supervisor instructions efficiently
Qualifications
- No prior construction experience required – full training provided
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting (up to 50 lbs), bending, and prolonged standing
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to job sites
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety
- Basic math skills for material measurement and inventory
- Ability to follow verbal instructions and work collaboratively in a team
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
