Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in residential and commercial settings
- Read blueprints and technical diagrams to understand project requirements
- Assist senior electricians with wiring, conduit installation, and circuit testing
- Adhere to all safety protocols and electrical codes (NEC and Illinois state requirements)
- Inspect electrical components for defects and ensure proper functionality
- Document work performed and maintain accurate project records
- Participate in emergency call-out services as required
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- No prior electrical experience necessary – full training provided
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Physical ability to work in confined spaces, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Willingness to obtain Illinois electrical license within 12 months
- Basic understanding of hand tools and construction safety practices
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
