Responsibilities
- Assist journeyman electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to understand project requirements.
- Perform basic wiring, termination, and conduit bending under supervision.
- Ensure all work areas are clean, organized, and compliant with OSHA and local safety codes.
- Maintain and organize tools and equipment to ensure efficiency and safety.
- Perform routine inspections to identify potential hazards or code violations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Basic knowledge of mathematics and physics is preferred.
- Physical stamina to lift heavy materials (up to 50 lbs) and work in various weather conditions.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are required.
- Willingness to obtain a state apprenticeship license and complete required coursework.
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to work independently as well as in a team.
