Responsibilities
- Assist licensed journeyman electricians with the installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems in residential and commercial settings.
- Learn to read and interpret basic electrical blueprints and schematics under supervision.
- Perform routine inspections and testing of electrical components to ensure compliance with safety codes and standards.
- Prepare work areas by laying out materials, tools, and equipment needed for the job.
- Secure cable and conduit runs, ensuring proper fastening and neatness.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all company safety protocols.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation are mandatory.
- Ability to perform physical labor, including standing for long periods, climbing ladders, and working in various weather conditions.
- Basic understanding of mathematics is preferred (for calculating measurements and loads).
- Strong willingness to learn new skills and follow safety instructions precisely.
- No prior electrical experience required; training will be provided.
