Responsibilities
- Assist Journeyman Electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in residential and commercial settings.
- Perform basic wiring tasks, including stripping wire, terminating cables, and making connections.
- Transport tools, equipment, and materials to and from job sites.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with OSHA and company safety protocols.
- Learn and apply the National Electrical Code (NEC) under supervision.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.
- Basic math skills and ability to use measuring tools.
- Physically capable of lifting 50+ lbs and working in various weather conditions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to obtain required state licensing and certifications upon completion of apprenticeship.
- No prior electrical experience required; on-the-job training provided.
