Responsibilities
- Assist Journeyman Electricians: Support senior team members with installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in residential and commercial settings.
- Material Handling: Transport and organize wiring, conduit, outlets, and fixtures to job sites.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to OSHA safety standards and company protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all personnel.
- Tools & Equipment: Learn to operate and maintain power tools, hand tools, and testing equipment (e.g., multimeters, voltage detectors).
- Blueprint Reading: Study and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to understand project requirements.
- Site Preparation: Prepare job sites by digging trenches, mounting conduit, and preparing electrical boxes.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with clients, keeping them informed of progress and maintaining a clean work area.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license and clean driving record required for site travel.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Technical Interest: Basic mechanical aptitude and an eagerness to learn electrical codes and regulations.
- Work History: Reliable work history is preferred; part-time or volunteer work is acceptable.
- Availability: Must be available for full-time shifts, including overtime and weekends as needed.
