Responsibilities
- Assist journeyman electricians with residential and commercial installations and repairs.
- Prepare work sites by gathering necessary materials, tools, and equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams under supervision.
- Ensure all work adheres to local, state, and national electrical codes and safety regulations.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on electrical systems.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe at all times.
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding project progress.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Must be physically capable of lifting heavy materials (up to 50 lbs) and working in various weather conditions.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is strongly preferred.
- Strong desire to learn the electrical trade and a willingness to work hard.
- Basic math skills for measuring and calculating electrical requirements.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
