Responsibilities
- Assist Journeyman Electricians: Support senior technicians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of residential and commercial electrical systems.
- Load and Unload Materials: Safely transport tools, equipment, and materials to and from job sites.
- Site Preparation: Set up temporary power, ladders, and scaffolding as directed.
- Basic Wiring: Perform simple wiring tasks, including stripping wire, connecting outlets, and installing light fixtures.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to OSHA safety regulations and company protocols at all times.
- Organization: Maintain a clean and organized work vehicle and job site.
- Study & Learning: Study National Electrical Code (NEC) and technical manuals to prepare for future certifications.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
- Driver’s License: Valid Texas Driver’s License and a clean driving record required.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and work in various weather conditions.
- Basic Math Skills: Comfortable with basic arithmetic for measuring and calculating materials.
- Communication: Good verbal communication skills and willingness to learn.
- Availability: Must be available for full-time work, including weekends and overtime as needed.
- Interest in Trades: Genuine passion for the electrical trade and problem-solving.
