Responsibilities
- Assist Senior Technicians: Shadow experienced electricians to learn installation, repair, and maintenance techniques.
- Site Preparation: Help prepare job sites by laying out materials and ensuring the workspace is clean and organized.
- Basic Wiring: Perform basic wiring tasks, including stripping wires, connecting terminals, and mounting fixtures under supervision.
- Tool Management: Maintain and properly use a variety of hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety standards and company protocols to ensure a hazard-free environment.
- Blueprint Reading: Learn to interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to understand project requirements.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED is preferred.
- Driver's License: A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions.
- Attitude: A strong willingness to learn and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Math Skills: Basic understanding of measurements and fractions.
- Background Check: Must pass a background check and drug screening.
- Availability: Must be available to work full-time hours, including weekends if necessary.
