We are a premier electrical contracting firm in New York City, and we are currently expanding our team. We are looking for motivated individuals to start their careers as Entry Level Electricians. At PrimePower, we don't just fix wires; we build careers. You will work alongside master electricians, gaining hands-on experience on commercial and residential projects across the city.
Responsibilities
- Assist senior electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in commercial and residential settings.
- Perform daily inspections of electrical components to ensure compliance with local and national electrical codes (NEC).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with OSHA regulations.
- Learn to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Handle electrical tools, test equipment, and materials with precision and care.
- Communicate effectively with team members and report progress to project managers.
- Participate in on-the-job training to master residential and commercial wiring techniques.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation are mandatory.
- Basic understanding of mathematics (fractions, decimals) is preferred.
- Must be physically fit and able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and at heights (if applicable).
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety.
- Willingness to obtain required apprenticeship certification (we assist with the process).
