Responsibilities
- Assist journeyman electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and components.
- Prepare work areas, including digging trenches, pulling wire, mounting fixtures, and installing outlets and switches.
- Read and interpret basic blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams to understand project requirements.
- Ensure all work is performed in strict compliance with local and national electrical codes (NEC).
- Maintain a clean and safe job site, adhering to OSHA safety regulations and company protocols.
- Test electrical systems and components to ensure proper functionality and troubleshoot minor issues.
- Document work completed and report any material shortages or safety hazards to supervisors immediately.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- No prior experience required; we are willing to train the right candidate.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in various weather conditions.
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and reading tape measures.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong desire to learn and a commitment to safety.
