Responsibilities
- Assist Senior Technicians: Shadow and support journeyman electricians with installations, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems.
- Blueprint Reading: Learn to interpret basic electrical blueprints and schematics under supervision.
- Site Preparation: Prepare job sites by laying out materials, cleaning work areas, and adhering to safety protocols.
- System Testing: Assist in testing and troubleshooting low-voltage systems and lighting fixtures.
- Tool Management: Properly handle and maintain a wide variety of hand tools and power equipment.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience: No prior experience is required. A strong willingness to learn the trade is essential.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions.
- Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
