Responsibilities
- Assist Journeyman Electricians: Shadow and support senior technicians on residential and commercial job sites, learning installation and repair techniques in real-time.
- Site Preparation: Help prepare job sites by laying out materials, organizing tools, and ensuring a clean, safe work environment for the crew.
- Component Installation: Learn to install and connect wiring, circuit breakers, outlets, and lighting fixtures under supervision.
- Blueprint Reading: Develop the ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.
- Material Management: Assist in inventory management, including counting materials, logging usage, and ordering supplies as needed.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to OSHA safety regulations and company protocols to ensure a hazard-free workplace for all team members.
- Customer Interaction: Interact professionally with clients, answering basic questions and maintaining a positive company image.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent is required; vocational training or technical school is a plus but not mandatory.
- Driver’s License: A valid, clean driver’s license is required for site travel.
- Physical Capability: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions.
- Math Skills: Basic understanding of algebra and geometry is beneficial for calculating loads and measurements.
- Work Ethic: A strong desire to learn, problem-solving mindset, and reliability are essential traits we are looking for.
