Responsibilities
- Assist Journeyman Plumbers: Shadow experienced technicians to learn proper installation, repair, and maintenance techniques for residential and commercial plumbing systems.
- Tool Preparation: Organize, clean, and inventory plumbing tools and materials before and after each job site.
- Basic Installation: Perform simple tasks such as cutting and threading pipe, assembling fixtures, and assisting in the installation of water heaters and drains under supervision.
- Site Maintenance: Maintain a clean and safe work environment, ensuring debris is removed and safety protocols are followed.
- Customer Interaction: Assist in delivering excellent customer service by answering questions and maintaining a professional appearance on job sites.
- Blueprint Reading: Begin learning to read basic blueprints and schematics to understand system layouts.
Qualifications
- No Experience Required: We welcome applicants with zero experience who are ready to learn.
- High School Diploma: Must possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid Driver's License: Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel to job sites.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and work in various weather conditions.
- Math Skills: Basic understanding of measurements and fractions is preferred.
- Problem Solving: Strong desire to troubleshoot and learn how to diagnose common plumbing issues.
- Background Check: Must pass a background check and drug screening.
