Responsibilities
- Perform new construction and retrofit electrical installations according to blueprints and specifications.
- Diagnose and resolve complex electrical faults and system failures efficiently.
- Ensure all workmanship meets strict local, state, and National Electrical Code (NEC) standards.
- Maintain a clean and safe job site, adhering to OSHA safety regulations at all times.
- Inspect electrical systems to identify potential hazards or inefficiencies.
- Collaborate effectively with project managers, foremen, and other tradespeople.
- Mentor and guide junior apprentices to ensure team growth and consistency.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid Virginia Journeyman Electrician License.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of proven experience in commercial and industrial electrical work.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in reading complex blueprints and schematics.
- Tools: Reliable personal tool set and ability to pass a drug screen.
- Driving: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Physical: Ability to lift heavy materials (up to 50 lbs) and work in various weather conditions.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
