Responsibilities
- Assist Senior Technicians: Support experienced plumbers with the installation, repair, and maintenance of residential and commercial plumbing systems, including water heaters, drains, and piping.
- System Diagnosis: Help troubleshoot and identify leaks, clogs, and faulty piping using electronic locators and visual inspections.
- Blueprint Interpretation: Read and comprehend technical drawings and blueprints to understand project specifications and layout requirements.
- Site Preparation: Perform basic site preparation tasks, including trenching, cutting pipes, and ensuring compliance with safety and OSHA regulations.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with clients, answer questions regarding the job, and maintain a clean, organized work vehicle and site.
- Tool Management: Maintain, clean, and organize all tools and equipment before and after each job.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED is required.
- Physical Stamina: Must be able to lift 50+ lbs, stand for extended periods, crawl in tight spaces, and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Driver’s License: A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are mandatory.
- Basic Math Skills: Comfort with basic arithmetic is essential for measurements and material calculations.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, trustworthy, and committed to safety standards.
- Availability: Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and emergency on-call rotations.
