Responsibilities
- Perform site preparation, excavation, and material handling using heavy machinery
- Operate power tools (saws, drills, jackhammers) and construction equipment safely
- Read blueprints and follow technical specifications for accurate installation
- Maintain strict adherence to OSHA safety protocols and site cleanliness
- Collaborate with skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, plumbers) for seamless workflow
- Complete daily equipment inspections and maintenance checks
- Assist in concrete pouring, framing, and finishing operations
- Participate in project meetings to ensure alignment with construction timelines
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of commercial construction experience required
- OSHA 10 certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic math skills for measurements and material calculations
- Strong teamwork and communication abilities
- Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed
- Pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
