Responsibilities
- Assist carpenters and skilled trades with material handling, site preparation, and demolition
- Operate hand/power tools safely (saws, drills, jackhammers) and equipment (forklifts, excavators)
- Read blueprints and follow verbal instructions to execute construction tasks
- Maintain clean, organized job sites and adhere to OSHA safety protocols
- Perform heavy lifting (up to 75 lbs) and physically demanding tasks in all weather conditions
- Assist in pouring concrete, setting forms, and installing scaffolding
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of commercial/residential construction experience
- Valid OSHA 10-hour construction certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Basic understanding of construction tools and equipment operation
- Strong work ethic with punctual, reliable attendance record
- Ability to read tape measures and simple blueprints
- Must possess own basic hand tools (hammer, tape measure, utility knife)
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
