Responsibilities
- Prepare construction sites by clearing debris, setting up equipment, and ensuring safety compliance
- Assist skilled tradesmen (carpenters, masons, electricians) with material handling and project tasks
- Operate hand/power tools (saws, drills, jackhammers) and heavy machinery (excavators, forklifts) with proper training
- Follow blueprints and verbal instructions to execute construction tasks accurately
- Maintain a clean, organized work environment and report safety hazards immediately
- Load/unload materials and transport supplies to job sites safely and efficiently
- Participate in daily site briefings and team meetings to align on project goals
Qualifications
- Physical ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform strenuous tasks in all weather conditions
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record (required for equipment operation)
- OSHA 10 certification or willingness to obtain upon hire (training provided)
- Reliable transportation to job sites across Milwaukee and Ohio regions
- Strong work ethic and punctuality – attendance is critical for project timelines
- Basic math skills for material measurements and inventory tracking
- Ability to follow safety protocols and wear required PPE at all times
- Previous construction experience preferred but not required – we train motivated candidates
