- Establish strategic partnerships with academic institutions and government innovation labs
- Analyze emerging tech disruptions and create mitigation/adaptation frameworks for enterprise clients
- Present future-state scenarios to C-suite executives and investment committees
- Manage $5M+ innovation budgets with ROI-focused resource allocation
- Mentor junior futurists in horizon scanning methodologies
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic tech roles with demonstrable impact on future-facing initiatives
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related field
- Published thought leadership on emerging tech trends (IEEE, MIT Tech Review)
- Experience with scenario planning and technology forecasting methodologies
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging domains: quantum, AI, neurotech, or climate tech
- Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
- Fluency in future-proofing frameworks (e.g., Gartner Hype Cycle, Delphi Method)
