Responsibilities
- Conduct horizon-scanning research to identify emerging technologies, societal shifts, and market disruptors impacting 2026+ business landscapes
- Develop and maintain a multi-year strategic innovation roadmap with quantifiable ROI projections
- Lead cross-functional teams in incubating and prototyping breakthrough concepts from ideation to pilot
- Translate complex future scenarios into executive-ready strategic recommendations and business cases
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions, think tanks, and innovation labs to leverage cutting-edge research
- Design and implement organizational frameworks for continuous innovation adoption and future readiness
- Present strategic insights to C-suite and board members with compelling data visualizations
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic innovation, futures research, or technology foresight with Fortune 500/Unicorn experience
- Proven track record of launching successful innovation initiatives with measurable market impact
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Management, Technology Innovation, or related field
- Deep expertise in emerging technologies: quantum computing, synthetic biology, AGI ethics, and climate tech
- Exceptional systems thinking with ability to model complex socio-technical ecosystems
- Certified in innovation methodologies (e.g., Design Thinking, Blue Ocean Strategy, Scenario Planning)
- Published thought leadership in futurism or innovation strategy (whitepapers, journals, conferences)
- Experience building and leading high-performing innovation teams in matrix organizations
