Responsibilities
- Assist carpenters and skilled trades with material handling and site preparation
- Perform physical tasks including digging, lifting, and carrying construction materials (up to 50 lbs)
- Operate hand tools safely (hammers, shovels, tape measures) and basic power tools under supervision
- Maintain clean and organized job sites by debris removal and equipment staging
- Adhere strictly to OSHA safety protocols and company guidelines at all times
- Support team members to ensure project milestones are met on schedule
- Report equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to site supervisors immediately
Qualifications
- No prior construction experience required – training provided
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in outdoor conditions (heat, heights, noise)
- Valid government-issued photo ID and reliable transportation to job sites
- Pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
- Willingness to work flexible hours including early mornings and weekends
- Basic communication skills and ability to follow verbal/written instructions
- Strong work ethic and punctuality with zero-tolerance for unexcused absences
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
