Responsibilities
- Assist master plumbers in residential/commercial installations, repairs, and maintenance
- Operate plumbing tools safely and efficiently (pipe cutters, wrenches, drain snakes)
- Diagnose basic plumbing issues under supervision (leaks, clogs, fixture repairs)
- Adhere strictly to NYC plumbing codes and safety regulations
- Maintain clean work areas and proper tool inventory
- Provide excellent customer service and clear communication
- Complete apprenticeship training modules and skill assessments
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED accepted)
- Valid New York driver's license
- Physical ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in confined spaces
- Reliable transportation to job sites across NYC boroughs
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Willingness to obtain NYC plumbing apprentice license
- Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills
- No prior plumbing experience required!
