Responsibilities
- Assist senior electricians in the installation, maintenance, and repair of residential and commercial electrical systems and wiring.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine wiring layouts and equipment locations.
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical equipment and panels.
- Ensure all work is performed in strict compliance with local, state, and national electrical codes (NEC).
- Test electrical systems and continuity to ensure they are functioning properly and safely.
- Document work orders, time sheets, and material usage accurately for project tracking.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all OSHA safety standards.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Physical stamina to work in various weather conditions and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and mechanical aptitude.
- Basic math skills and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Willingness to obtain required state licenses and certifications as training progresses.
