Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical systems including wiring, lighting, and circuit breakers
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications
- Ensure all work complies with NEC, OSHA, and local building codes
- Diagnose electrical faults using testing equipment and tools
- Coordinate with contractors and project managers for seamless execution
- Maintain detailed records of work performed and materials used
- Train and mentor apprentice electricians when required
Qualifications
- Valid Illinois Journeyman Electrician license (mandatory)
- 5+ years of commercial/industrial electrical experience
- Proficiency in conduit bending, splicing, and power distribution
- OSHA 30 certification preferred
- Strong knowledge of NFPA 70E arc flash safety standards
- Ability to work independently in diverse environments
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Pass pre-employment background/drug screening
