Responsibilities
- Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, apparatus, and code-compliant wiring.
- Read and interpret complex blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to determine layout and wiring.
- Ensure all electrical work meets local, state, and national safety codes (NEC/NFPA 70E).
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical equipment and panels.
- Collaborate with project managers and site foremen to execute projects on time and within budget.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment at all times.
- Assist in mentoring apprentice electricians as required.
Qualifications
- Valid Journeyman Electrician License required (State of IL or NY).
- Minimum of 5 years of verifiable experience in commercial or industrial electrical work.
- Strong working knowledge of electrical theory, power distribution, and circuitry.
- Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screening.
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and testing meters.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
