Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial and institutional settings
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications for complex projects
- Ensure full compliance with OSHA standards, NEC codes, and local DC regulations
- Diagnose electrical faults using advanced testing equipment and troubleshooting techniques
- Lead project teams on emergency repair and new installation assignments
- Coordinate with building managers, contractors, and city officials for permit approvals
- Maintain detailed documentation of work performed and materials used
Qualifications
- Valid DC Journeyman Electrician license (mandatory)
- 5+ years of commercial/residential electrical experience
- Proven expertise with conduit bending, motor controls, and power distribution
- Familiarity with DC energy efficiency requirements and green building standards
- OSHA 30-hour certification and CPR/First Aid credentials
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in confined spaces at heights
- Strong diagnostic skills for emergency troubleshooting scenarios
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities
