Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications
- Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA 70E, and local D.C. electrical codes
- Lead teams of apprentices and junior electricians on complex projects
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults using advanced diagnostic tools
- Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and building managers
- Implement safety protocols and maintain OSHA compliance standards
Qualifications
- Valid District of Columbia Journeyman Electrician license
- Minimum 5 years of commercial/industrial electrical experience
- Proven expertise in conduit bending, motor control, and power distribution
- Familiarity with D.C. permitting processes and inspections
- OSHA 30-hour certification required
- Ability to read and interpret complex technical documents
- Strong problem-solving and team leadership abilities
- Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
