Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in accordance with local and national electrical codes (NEC).
- Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair.
- Prepare sketches or follow blueprints to determine the location of wiring and equipment and to ensure conformance to building and safety codes.
- Perform routine maintenance and safety checks on residential and commercial electrical systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues quickly and accurately.
- Educate customers on the operation and maintenance of their electrical systems.
Qualifications
- Valid Journeyman Electrician License in the State of Texas.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience in commercial and residential electrical work.
- Strong knowledge of electrical theory, circuit breakers, and power distribution.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.
- Physical stamina to work in various environments, including crawl spaces, attics, and outdoors.
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
- Familiarity with OSHA safety standards.
