Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to plan installations.
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure system safety and efficiency.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex electrical issues to determine appropriate repairs.
- Ensure all work complies with local and national electrical codes and safety regulations.
- Guide and mentor apprentices and junior electricians as needed.
- Provide excellent customer service, including clear communication of project timelines and costs.
Qualifications
- Valid Journeyman Electrician License (State of Michigan).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience in commercial and residential electrical work.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints and technical documents.
- Strong knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) and local building codes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Physical stamina to work in various environments, including confined spaces, at heights, and outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
