Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, and equipment in residential and commercial settings
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications to ensure code compliance
- Diagnose electrical faults using testing equipment and implement effective solutions
- Supervise junior electricians and apprentices while maintaining safety protocols
- Coordinate with contractors, clients, and inspectors to ensure project timelines
- Perform system upgrades, including energy-efficient lighting and smart home integration
- Document all work activities, materials used, and maintenance schedules
Qualifications
- Valid New Mexico Journeyman or Master Electrician license
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on electrical experience
- Proven expertise with NEC (National Electrical Code) and local regulations
- Proficiency in installing/repairing residential/commercial systems
- Strong diagnostic skills with multimeters, oscilloscopes, and circuit testers
- OSHA 10/30 certification or willingness to obtain immediately
- Valid driver's license with clean record
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in confined spaces
